I've been neglecting this blog.

I would like to defend myself and say that I was kind of hasty in my declaration of a Writing365 project. I am actually still writing everyday, but I can't reconcile the idea of a public blog as a place to put my writing up. That's where my private journals and low-tech paper and pencils and slightly higher tech personal word documents come in. I can only say that publishing rough cuts of my writing is sort of like taking an unprepared 1 year old who hasn't learned how to walk and telling them to perform Swan Lake.

I am not going to do that to my work. I thought it would help me to become a better writer if I made my writing more public. I would be accountable to "you"- the nameless faceless audience that I so desperately try to write for. However, I acknowledge that I still am wary of plagiarism. And I can't get over that idea.

So this is the last post I will make in this blog for right now. I'm actually keeping about 5 blogs right now including this one. However, I'm trying to pare that down to 2 or 3.

Yes, I am starting to convert some stuff to wordpress. Blogger is so much easier to use, but I like the clean lines of wordpress (and the opportunity for expansion that I see there).

I have made a compromise between a writing blog and a blog that tracks my progress as a writer. I may still occasionally post my original pieces on that blog, but that is not the main point. If you would really like to read some of my work- then email me and I might show you.

I really loved the blog "leftysmudges" and I thought it was rather a unique and fun name. But we move on and we grow.
